is C++ dead? is Java going to die%26gt; I have heard so much misinformation about each.
Which language has more job opportunities attached to it. C++ or Java.?
I think if you do web page stuff, lower end stuff Java might still be relevant, but if you want hard core programming and higher paying jobs, you will have to know C++, C# and object orientated programming.
Reply:Well as fast as technology changes and new languages and techologies develop... it's hard to really tell. I believe things are starting to move towards C#, which is similar to C++.. so that may not hurt to know..
As far as Java.. I think it's also dying out.. but JavaScript, AJAX are related... and still used so I think you'll find it even.. and benefical to know both.
Reply:Both definitely will have jobs, though I would say that I've seen Java asked for in jobs more than C++, but both are good skills to have. I would go with whatever one you enjoy more, you will be better at the one you enjoy more and produce better programs. Also, once you learn one mainstream programming language it is much easier to learn another, so knowing both may not be a bad idea.
