Which Language is better in terms of job salary perspective .. is it C++ or PHP in INdia ???
Well. It depends on what you're doing.
Unfortunately, I can't include INdia into this discussion because I simply do not know anything about that programming language.
C++, is for desktop programming. If you're running a Mac, the program finder was made using C++.
Yahoo, apple, intel, etc. will use PHP to code their websites. PHP is similar to C++, but uses a web browser as output, instead of a versatile desktop GUI.
I would encourage learning PHP first; you will not have to learn what compiler is and you will not have to download/buy any software to do so. Although the GCC compiler is free, some people are not easy when it comes to downloading.
Web programming is the way of the future; I've heard from many tech-savvy people, computer admins., and programmers that desktop programming may become obsolete in even ten years. No point to master a language that will or may be extinct from use soon.
Also, writing programs in PHP is very platform compatible; web browsers may have slightly different output between different applications (i.e. mozilla firefox may have web pages which look slightly different than internet explorer - not in a bad way). When coding PHP, you do not have to port your program to PC, Mac, or any of the tens of Linux distributions.
Hope it helps,
Joe
Reply:It all depends on your interest. C++ and PHP both are different platforms. PHP is used for web programming and C++ is used for desktop application programming. C++ is really a strong language and will never end. You can develop games, mathematical programs and anything you want with C++.
Whereas PHP's scope is different.
Both languages have their own importance and scope of jobs. Both have good job opportunities not only in India but also in other places. First you decide which way to go then get started with that language.
