When a potential employer does a background check... do they see all the previous jobs you've had?

Just wondering b/c I've had a couple of one month jobs in my life... things I started and didn't like. Do potential employers see all of these when they do a background check? If so, I tink it would really hurt my chances of finding something...

(I have had several long term positions.... only a few short ones)

Background check is basically a criminal check...(some companies also do credit checks) but there is no way they can find out any place(s) you worked that aren't listed on your resume. Don't worry ~
Reply:There is a formal background check that searches for criminal charges, but it is not the same as checking your past jobs.

The new company will call whom ever you listed on your app.

Most companies do not offer opinions, but only facts.

She was terminated on 4-6-08

She gave a two week notice.

Her last position was_________

Etc.

So if there is a job that would not give a good work history of you, do not list them on the app.

I am a manager
Reply:If I am not mistaken, when they do a background check they are looking into any criminal activity not past employers.
