construction and surveying
U.k job websites to put my c.v on?
I would try going directly to agencies that deal with your field.
I would also try looking for jobs on www.gumtree.com, but I'm not sure if you can actually post your CV on there.
Also, have a look at websites that are local to the area in which you live (most newspapers post job ads online).
I am a recruiter in the IT industry and I frequently use Monster to recruit - for those answerers that dissed it! But, that's IT not construction and surveying.
Bottom line is - in your industry, I'm not certain that posting your CV online is particularly going to work for you. I would suggest that you should be more proactive and actually apply for specific jobs, rather than just posting your CV and waiting for employers to come to you.
Reply:Search on the web for recruitment agencies - the more you put your CV on the more chance you stand.
Use general ones like Monster but you often get a better response from ones specialise in your area.
In my experience it is better not to set up so they e-mail you jobs - most are unsuitable.
Trawl through the jobs once every couple of weeks and apply for the ones that suit you.
I save a standard cover letter in Word %26amp; copy it into my e-mail them modify it to make any points relevant to the jobb your applying to.
Have you had your CV checked that you are presenting yourself in the best way possible ? Some recruitment agencies will do that for free for you.
Reply:www.monster.co.uk
