Can doctor infected with hepatitis c virus find job in england?

Yes. You don't need to notify the hospital of your status unless you're performing exposure-prone procedures (e.g. surgery).

Go to this website for the UK's policy on this:

Can doctor infected with hepatitis c virus find job in england?
I'd be shocked to find out there is not a single doc or nurse in any country who has a communicable disease. Universal precautions are to protect both the medical staff AND the patient.
Reply:Hi Sweetie,

Only the Physians %26amp; Surgeons of England cud tell u that. E-Mail r Write them re: this %26amp;

type of Dr. ok?

LOL, Diana D
Reply:Why sure you can! HCV as well as other diseases do not disqualify a doctor from being a doctor! In any case, having HCV (sorry you do) but just having HCV alone will make you a pretty darned good understanding doctor!!!
Reply:There should be research opportunities if they are prohibited from seeing patients. All that education should not go to waste. There is the speaking circuit which looks for knowledgeable experts on different subjects. there are consultants to medical dramas that need to know how a real doctor would perform a procedure. There are books to be written on medical matters. There are teachers needed.

So, I would say, yes, you can find a job.
