I am 21 working on associates degree...will I make it if I keep up??
I've been in college almost 7 semesters already, I've already failed 3 classes b/c I put my job first? Anyhelp
You will make it if you just don't give up. However, is it possible to adjust your work schedule so you can study more? Or maybe even get a different job? For example, a security guard, especially on night duty, has lots of time when he can study if he is simply alert to any problems. He only needs to make rounds once in awhile. Or perhaps attendant for a patient who is asleep some of the time. Or a driver who can read a textbook while the passenger is engaged in business. There are many such jobs, and it might be worth your while to investigate them. Then, too, you may benefit from a close look at your study habits. Are you making the best use of the time you have? And your course selection: did you fail one or more of those three classes because you had chosen a course that was really over your head?
Talk to your school counselor, and see if there are ways you can ease the burden. But don't give up. Even if you only take one course a semester, you'll get there eventually.
Reply:i think you should concentrate on ur studies first.
Reply:You just need to master the art of Time Management. :)
If I may say, we are almost in the same lifestyle.
Reply:keep going to school and change your work schedule or change your job and keep at it

Do i have a chance of moving to the O.C??
im a 19year old female from england and its always been my dream to live in california or florida!
ive heard the O.C is very expensive to live but i have my heart set on it and want to do it whilest im young!
im an advanced beauty therapist and im currently studying more courses such as holistic courses and business and physcology whilest i gain more salon work experience! ( ive already had 3 years salon experience! )
i was thinking of continuing my studies in england for a few years and then maybe getting a job in the O.C and move with my partner! and then maybe opening a business out there!
one thing i know is, in england beauty therapists arent very highly paid, and im asuming its the same in america and i understand it wont just happen like THAT!
but i just want to know... is it an unrealistic goal or do i have a chance???
thanks 4 all advice given

California is not what it is cracked up to be. If you love pollution, smog, A LOT of traffic, fake people, overpriced homes, lots of gangs and illegal immigrants then all of California is the place for you!
Reply:Oh, you'd be surprised what people in California will pay for salon services. It's all about the Marketing. You supply some boutique, high end products, give your clients a latte while they wait and throw in some good looking employees and you can name your price for services. If your image is high-end, then people will pay high-end prices.
Reply:It's just a tv show and not exactly like it's depicted. But yes, it's expensive. Perhaps try living some place close to it that is cheaper.
Reply:I live in Orange County and it can be expensive, depending on where you want to live. Home prices are leveling off and going down right now, but they still are not cheap. Target the areas you are interested in and get in touch with a knowledgeable, reputable real estate agent to get an idea of prices for homes and rent for apartments and/or homes.
I'm not sure what a beauty therapist it, to be honest. Does that mean you cut and style hair? If so, it's all about building clientele out here. Target some high-end salons in upscale areas like Newport Beach, Huntington Beach and Ladera Ranch/Coto de Caza and see what you need to do to get hired. And, as shallow as it sounds, your accent will take you far around here!!

Reply:Yeah I know how you feel. It can be a real pain sometimes and you don't even get a GOOD answer, which is really a pain. It's like why even ask a question? I mean if you don't choose the answer you like best then what's the point.
Reply:Yup its happened to me a couple of times. I just vote for the best answer when it comes around.

Reply:It depends what position you want to join with MNC. Dont stop your studies just because it is N T R Univ. What MNC looks for is agressive and intelligent team players. If you have it you and you think that you can impress them enough without a degree, go ahead and apply with them. Chances would be better if you graduated.

Ruby or Ruby On Rail easly than C# to learn?
Is it a better option to learn Ruby %26amp; Ruby On Rail to get a job quickly than learning C#? As it seems that C# has a much higher learning curve. Thanks for your answers.
Ruby or Ruby On Rail easly than C# to learn?
Ruby on Rails is a great platform for web development but you will almost certainly not find a job for it. Monster.com is practically bursting with c# positions, whereas I've never even seen Ruby mentioned on any job requirements posting.
As for hobbyist programming, Ruby is great for rapid-deployment applications, but c# is better if you want more control over how much of the deeper core aspects of application development.
Reply:I know ruby, but I know nothing about ruby on rails. But I can say ruby was awesome and quite easy to learn. If RoR is like ruby then id go with RoR! except i know nothing of c# so i gets i am biased lol
Reply:Do you know any other languages? Have you studied or worked in the field. I doubt you are going to get a job if you just go read a Teach Yourself Ruby/C# in 30 days book.

For a person who is bachelor in engineering in computer science and after that done c.f.a which job is good?
B.E in CSE has always the best chances in IT industry at this point of time.Added to that you have a C.F.A, which means you have a chance to exploit both the IT and the finance domains.
I guess SAP is the right choice for you. and moreover SAP is in hot demand these days. All the best
